WEEK 5, 10 OCT 2014

teacher-quotes-sayings-teachers-technology

Yayyy it’s week 5. I’m doing good and great in this subject and hopes my classmates are doing fine too 🙂 The picture that I have inserted above is what I found on the net and I personally think that it is indeed a good quote. Well, living in the era of technologies, teachers must also keep themselves updated so as to deal with 21st century students.

Okay, today I have been informed that there is no formal lecturer, but it is just a short meeting with Dr. Rosseni about our field trip to Penang. The main objective of this field trip is to take pictures of historical buildings in Penang as Dr and other facilitators said it is an opportunity to join the National Photography Competition. I’m not really interested to join the competition but I can see that this is also a way for all of us to learn and sharpen our skills in photography. This is because, I believe that learning technologies will not be 100% effective without hands-on activities since we can actually learn and understand better by doing it ourselves. The meeting was just a short and brief for the trip next week since Dr has to attend a course. However, she had uploaded a video for us to analyse. This video helps me build idea on how my group’s video production should be ; has message, not too long and catchy.

From this video, I can see that there are many technique used by the director to catch my attention. Besides, the actor, videographer and editor plays an important role as to create such interesting and meaningful video. I would love to create one like this and hope me and my team mates can do it 🙂

To be honest, when I first know that we need to produce a video as part of this course requirement, I got stressed and messed up because the only video that I have ever produce is just a simple plain video which does not require any skills or techniques as the professionals. However, I take it positively when I think about it I realize that it is good to be exposed on producing and creating our own video as it enhances our ICT skills besides helping us to be prepared for the future
